Hey y’all! This past weekend the organization bug got me and I had to hit the reset button on my kitchen. Everything was all over the place and I wasn’t feeling inspired to create, cook and bake like I normally am.
Through trial and error, I have 5 tips to help you organize your dream kitchen and you can do it without spending a dime. You heard me– I spend no money on getting my kitchen together (even though I was majorly tempted) Let’s get into the tips!
The Kitchen Tips:
- Empty. It. Out. Every drawer, cabinet, shelf on the pantry and space where your stuff is. You need to see your kitchen bare bones. This is going to help you understand how much space you really have, and how you’re going to create a plan of attack to put it all together.
- Decide on your flow. I like to treat my kitchen like a puzzle, every thing has its place and every place has its thing. For example: I drink iced coffee every morning. I want my glasses as close to the fridge as possible so I can mix up my morning drink as quickly as possible and start my day. Maybe you want your pans up high so its visible or your baking dishes close to the oven. Its up to you, decide on your flow.
- Wash everything. Dish towels, aprons, cups, plates, cooking tools, bowls and wipe out your drawers and cabinets. When organizing your dream kitchen, cleanliness should be at the top of your list! Your kitchen should be as clean as possible!
- Begin to sort with your flow in mind. Remember how you want your cooking experiences to feel and make decisions for future you and not current ready-to-be-done-you. Take breaks if you have to.
- Finally, enjoy your refreshed kitchen and try your best to keep it that way!
These 5 tips to organize your dream kitchen are quick, simple and easy to replicate once a month if you need to. As a special thanks for checking out this blog, here’s a quick checklist if you’re more of a pen and paper kind of girl.
