Happy Sunday! Sit a spell with me and lets chat about what’s going on in the Precious Post vol 2.
I walked into Target the other day and its like everything fall was released. I’m not going to lie, I was a tad taken aback but then I realized how much I realized how much fun fall is. It’s a special season for Leo and I because we officially started dating in October, and we met in mid-August.
Fall is also when I started prepping for my first apartment, my second favorite holiday (Thanksgiving) is in this season and with the combination of a new, cozy season makes me so excited! August typically is an awkward time between summer and “true” fall, but to really savor the season I’ve already started transitioning my style, home and activities to fit the season!
- Bring on the Sweaters – I know I must look insane, but I’ve already pulled out my fall sweaters (and are eyeing a few more). I’m not throwing them on fully, but I am draping them over my shoulders for a classic look. I can’t wait until late September hits and I can add these to my fall outfit rotations.
- Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice – You’d think it was October 12th when you walk into my home. I picked up this Caramel Apple Crisp candle from Target the other day and it just makes it so warm, cozy and inviting. It creates the perfect environment to cook stick to your ribs meals, bake a delicious treat or read a book (speaking of– I’ve been loving the Sweet Magnolias series)
- Savoring Fall Flavors – I try to meal plan every week, and with that I love to shop seasonally. This past summer a lot of my meals were citrus based, with tons of fresh seafood. Fall means more roasts, soups, stews and my personal love– Pumpkin! Stay tuned for a recipe round up coming later this fall.
- Let’s up the Cozy – I’ve got a good arsenal of Fall home decor and I like to update as the seasons change. Mainly I update the pillows on my sofa, put out small elements and redo my front door to welcome in a new season. Its subtle way to remind myself that its time to cozy up.
- Planning all the Fall Activities – Adulting is fun, sometimes. With Leo and I’s schedules its best to get ahead of the season and plan all of our fall activities! We’ve found an adorable pumpkin patch up in Milton, GA so we’ll for sure visit again. North Georgia has beautiful apple orchards and our church has some of the most fun Fall activities.
